Interplay of Shared Leadership Practices of Principals, Teachers’ Soft Skills and Learners’ Competitiveness in COVID 19 Era: Implications to Economics of Educational Leadership

Summary: This paper examines the impact of shared leadership practices by school principals on teachers' soft skills and learners' competitiveness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a descriptive correlational research design and an online survey conducted in selected Southeast Asian schools, the findings reveal a positive relationship between principals' shared leadership and teachers' skills development, as well as increased learner competitiveness. The study highlights the importance of effective communication, coordination, and influence from school leaders. The results provide valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners to improve leadership techniques, support teacher development, and enhance school reform efforts in the post-pandemic era
