H. B. Siddhnath

H. B. Sidhnath is a demographer with a keen research focus on digital health, health economics, and inequalities in healthcare access. He holds a Master’s degree in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, where he was awarded a Government of India Fellowship. His Master’s dissertation, Socio-Demographic Attributes of Healthcare Financing Schemes in India Using Three Rounds of NFHS, examines the socio-economic dimensions of government-funded healthcare schemes, particularly PMJAY, and employs machine learning techniques to analyze disparities in insurance coverage post-COVID-19.

With expertise in handling large-scale survey datasets (NFHS, NSSO, LASI, IHDS) and proficiency in STATA, Python, Power BI, and GIS-based spatial analysis, Sidhnath has contributed to research through internships at Shrividya Research and Insights Private Limited and Tata Community Initiative Trust, Mumbai. He is currently working as a Project Associate at IIT Delhi, where he is involved in research design, data analysis, manuscript writing, and stakeholder coordination. His research interests include health economics, social inclusion, and public policy. He has qualified UGC-NET in Population Studies.
