Prof. Sanjoy Roy

Prof. Sanjoy Roy is serving as the Director at the Institute of Lifelong Learning and the head of the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. He has over 20 years of teaching experience at the university level, with a focus on social work, research, and community development and social inclusion.

Prof. Roy has also served as faculty in the Department of Social Work at Visva Bharati University, West Bengal, Assam University, Silchar and IGNOU before joining University of Delhi. He has guided 14 Ph.D. scholars, and an additional eight currently under his supervision.

Prof. Roy has also served working in the development sector and research. He has collaborated with government institutions such as the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), contributing to social work initiatives and research projects aimed at community development. Prof. Roy has actively participated in various research projects funded by government institutions as well as leading industries.

Prof. Roy is leading a research study to understand the question of marginality of religious converts in southern states of India. He is also associated with other research studies focusing on inclusion and social development. He has delivered numerous lectors and participated in international academic events. Prof. Roy is also associated as reviewer for several publishing houses.
