Concept Note

Subhas Chandra Bose remains one of the most visionary and influential figures in the Indian freedom struggle, whose intellectual legacy continues to resonate across global discourses. His leadership exemplified a rare combination of vision, courage, and inclusivity, establishing him as a transformative figure in shaping India’s path to independence and its future trajectory. Bose’s advocacy for self-reliance, inclusive governance, a robust foreign policy, and his instrumental role in the formation of the Azad Hind Government reflect his unparalleled strategic foresight and enduring relevance in the history of human struggles for freedom and dignity.

In this context, the inaugural issue of the SHD Journal of Practices aims to engage young minds with the ideas and actions of Subhas Chandra Bose, particularly in the domains of nation-building, governance, gender equity, education, military organization, administration, and international relations. This issue adopts an innovative approach, aligned with the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, by offering undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in research-based writing and contribute to academic scholarship. Through this initiative, the journal seeks to nurture the research potential of young scholars and provide a platform for their work to reach a wider audience.

Who Can Submit Papers

The journal invites research papers that critically analyze Bose’s contributions and their implications from historical, political, and interdisciplinary perspectives. Submissions are encouraged to explore the practical applications of Bose’s ideas and their transformative potential in addressing modern challenges in governance, diplomacy, and inclusive development.

By promoting this academic exploration, the journal aims to bridge the gap between disciplinary boundaries and accommodate scholars of different ages and stages of learning.
